BOSTON, Douglas Ronald

Doug has gone to be with his parents Hector “Toby” and Minerva (Don Handley) on May 8, 2012.  He was the proud dad of Brian, Alicia (Matt), Shawn (Kellie) and Justin and the grandfather to Jack and Noah.  Doug is the youngest brother of Danny (Janna), Doran (Nadine), Dennis (Tina), Debbie (Ron Bouchard) and Donna (Al Tourigny) and step brother of Rhonda (Claude) and Karen Handley.  Doug will be missed by his partner Dolly Bushey, his dog Toby, along with his many friends including Toni Scobie, John and Darla. His Grandmother, Bette Furkey and his many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles will miss his sense of humor and contagious smile.  A very special thank you to all the doctors that so skillfully cared for him including Doctors Bignell, Sharp, Lee and GHC Nurse Cathy,  all the SAH C3, IB and Intensive Care Nurses including Michelle King, Kelsey Kelly, Aaron Provenzano, Jan, Jessica, Collette and Paula for making Doug’s final months ‘tickety boo!’  Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 11 am until 12:45 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Dr. David Zub officiating.  Memorial contributions to the Ken Brown Recovery Home Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
