After a courageous battle to overcome many health issues, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at the age of 63. Loving husband and soul mate of Kathleen of 36 years. Unconditionally loving and supportive father, encouraging coach and faithful friend to his sons Craig (Crystal Zack) and Cade (Katie). Grandfather of Patience Reily, Katharine Hall and Devin Donald. Dear son of the late James and Mary Clark. Brother of Roger Blackburn, Jim Blackburn (Val), Barbara Halligan (late Merv), Elna LaForge (John), Karl Hult (Helvi), Gunnar Hult (Linda), Elsie Hagemeister (Max), Kristin Smylie (Bob), late Marguerite Stewart and the late Ingrid Brown. He will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends Gary Miller and Mike Doucette. Don devoted most of his career to working with special needs children, in particular autistic children. In addition, he volunteered many hours as a hockey coach and mentor to young athletes. Friends may ! call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, November 12, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm. Funeral service from the chapel on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at 10 am.
