Passed away peacefully at the Mauno Kaihla Koti Nursing Home on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late H.P. (Bud). Loving mother of Cheryl Scopacasa (Nick), Deryl Biron (Valerie) and Chris Biron (Lynn). Grandmother of Steven McQueen (Katja), Mark McQueen (Diane), Rhonda Piffero (Marc), Dominic Scopacasa (Kirsten), Darcy Biron (Kristina), Keeley Biron (Kimberley), Deryl Wardlaw (Stacey) and Jordan. Great grandmother of Alyshia, Jacob, Ruby, Makenzie and Lexis. Sister of Marion Thorpe and the late William Flood and Fern Sharpe. Caring friend of Evelyn Ambeault. Irene was a devoted foster mother for many years to over a hundred children. In keeping with Irene’s wishes a private family service was held.
