Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday morning, January 24, 2021 with his wife Paula (Vaillancourt) and his three canine friends by his bedside – just as he wished. Father of Sarah Bertolo (Terry Findley) of Virginia and Matthew Bertolo (Keri) of Pennsylvania. Grandfather of Rowen and Adele Findley. Son of the late Gino and the late Joan (Morton) Bertolo. Brother of the late Evelyn Schoahs (Erich), Brenda Wilson (Terry) and Cathy Bertolo of Toronto. Much loved son-in-law of Theresa and the late Wilfred Vaillancourt. Brother-in-law and friend of Terry Wilson, Peter Vailliancourt and Anne Marie Vaillancourt-Sitt (Hans) of Paris, Ontario. Uncle of Eden Cerenzia (Eric) of Kitchener, Theresa Cerenzia (Jesse) of London, Wendy Wilson (John) and Tim and Tony Schoahs (Rachel). A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at a later date, when it will be possible for his friends to get together. Roy’s wish was that memorial donations be made to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society or The Underdog Rescue of Florida (donations can be made online at https://underdogrescueofflorida.com/). Paula would like to thank Dr. Gail Darling of Toronto General, Dr. S.
