It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew Bernard at the age of 82 years on Sunday November 11, 2007 at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved husband of Grace for 53 years. Loving father of Hilary Lauzon (George) and John (Diana). Dear grandad of Kate & Carolyn Lauzon, Heather & Matthew Bernard. Andrew was the son of the late Mary and John Bernard and the beloved brother of Muriel McNeil, Bannockburn, Scotland. Andrew will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends for all his love and support, his immense pride in his grandchildren, his love of Scotland and adopted country Canada and his passion for education, music and poetry. Friends may call at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church (1643 Wellington Street East) on Tuesday November 13, 2007 from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral and committal service at 1:00 p.m. with the Venerable Munroe Scott officiating. Memorial donations made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.
