Peacefully surrounded by family at the Sault Area Hospital on Thursday, September 22, 2022 in his 75th year.

Beloved friend and husband of Brenda Belleau for 24 years.  Loving step dad of Tracey Boissoneau, Corey Hynes and Clayton Hynes.  Step grandpa of Natasha and Dakota. Predeceased by his parents Frederick Belleau and Johanna Belleau (nee McLeod) and his brothers Arnold, Wallace (wife June), Frederick, Blaine (late Susan), Dana and Christopher (wife Darlene).  Dear brother of Elizabeth Toulouse (late Dolphus), Carolyn Musgrove (Linden), Karen Belleau (John), Roberta Belleau, Jennifer Belleau (Ronald) and Joanne Robinson (late Michael).   Brother-in-law of Diane Zack (late Gord), Sharon Boissoneau, Roxanne Rowat, late Bernadine Boissoneau (Barry Pichette), Joey Boissoneau (Gab), Stephanie Jordan (Donald) and Judy Nunno. Favorite uncle of Andrea, Andrew, Matthew and Isaiah. Special great uncle of Easton and great great uncle of Mae Mae.  Gary will be missed and remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Gary's claim to fame was baseball.  He played for the Garden River Braves. He was known for catching the ball behind his back from centre field.  He also had an amazing throw.  One of his greatest joys was to watch nieces and nephews play hockey and baseball.

Gary worked for the Ministry of Natural Resource for many years as a forestry technician, where he made many friends.

As per Gary's request, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Garden River Community Centre on Saturday, October 29th, 2022 from 11 am to 4 pm. Join us in his celebration by sharing stories and enjoying food.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com. Memorial donations payable by cheque or online to Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522).

The family would like to thank the palliative care doctors for their compassion and care.
