Peacefully at University Hospital in London, Ontario on Sunday, December 6, 2009 in her 88th year. Daughter of the late Edmond and Alberta Cavanagh. Wife of the late Wilf Belec. Dear mother of the late Charlene Spratt-McGrath, John McDonald (Nancy), Louise Morin (Noel), Suzanne McDonald Aziz, Bessie Anne Sweazey (Tom), Greg McDonald (Faith) and Bruce McDonald. Loving grandmother of Troy McDonald (Vera), Anita McGrath-Mauti, Charity DiPaola (Joe), Rafe McDonald, Jeffrey Primeau (Janice), Angel Baker (Chad), Joey McDonald (Amanda), Renee Wiebe (Nathan) and Mitch McDonald, Catherine Aziz, Caleb (Davey), Danika, Jasper-Lynn and Lucinda Sweazey and Michael McDonald. Loving great-grandmother of twenty-two. Rita touched so many people in special ways. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful sense of humour and many kindnesses. A memorial service will be conducted at the Church of God, 155 Wharncliffe Road North in London on Wednesday, December 9 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Search Community Centre, 21 Richmond Street, Strathroy, Ontario N7G 2Z1 would be gratefully appreciated.
