Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the F.J. Davey Home on Tuesday, November 29th, 2005 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Fredrick Beishlag (d. 1944). She is survived by her devoted children; Edmund (Sheila) and Emily Lietz of California. Cherished grandmother of Karen Lietz and Dora Lietz of California, John Beishlag of Toronto and Joanne Mielnicki (Chris) of Mississauga. Great grandmother of Michael McCoy of California. Josephine is predeceased by her parents Alex and Mary McCoy and her siblings Alex McCoy, Cecilia McCoy, Theresa Coghill, Fred McCoy, Neil McCoy, William McCoy, Mervyn McCoy, Isabel Daigle and Helen Gavin. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Josephine's life was one of unfailing devotion to the Church and to her family, exemplified by her devout faith, humility and selfless generosity shown in her unceasing care and concern for others. Even as we pray for her in the next life, Josephine's Christian example will be long treasured by her family and by those whose lives she has touched over the decades. Friends may call at the Precious Blood Cathedral on Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. The Rt. Rev. Monsignor Bernard J. Burns officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations to the Precious Blood Memorial Fund, the F.J. Davey Home or to the Bishop Baraga Association (Marquette, Michigan) would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 759-2522. Sincere appreciation is extended to the staff of the Great Northern Nursing Home and the F.J. Davey Home for their extraordinary care of Josephine and for the kindness to her family. A special thank you to her niece Frances Dubois and her family for their love and loyalty to "Auntie Jo" throughout her life and especially in her final days.
