Peacefully at Longworth Long Term Care in London, Ontario on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Beaton. Dear mother of Sandra Clarke (Allyn) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Donald (Ann) of Burlington, Larry of Etobicoke and June (Jim) of London. Dear grandmother of Michelle (Beau), Rebecca (Juan) and Nancy (Seth) Clarke, Lisa (David) and Greg (Trisha) Beaton, Riley, Andrew (Amy) and Trisha Doan. She will also be missed by her seven great-grandchildren. Resident of Sault Ste. Marie for over fifty years where she taught elementary school and was an active member of the St. Andrew’s United Church congregation. Iva loved playing bridge, picking berries and canvassing for the various charities she supported. Iva leaves a living legacy to her family with her gift of the value of education, travel and her “sterling character”.
