It is with aching hearts, we regret to inform, that after her year long battle with cancer, Robin passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by family.

Loving wife and best friend of Thomas; caring mother of Kerry (Lou) Burch and Cassie; and adoring grandmother of Tylar (Mason), Zachary, and Victoria (Howard, Brittany, Courtney).  Beloved daughter of Alice and the late Wilfred Davieaux. Dear sister of Donna Trepasso and the late Debbie (Patrick) Parker. Proud aunt of Dawn Marie, Toni, David, Pam and Patti.

Those of us lucky enough to be in her life, will remember her for her loving and fierce spirit. She appreciated sentiment more than a price tag; preferred simplicity over the materialistic world; and admired uniqueness over conformity.

Robin was so proud of the family she grew up in, and the family that she created. The most important thing to her own happiness was the happiness and health of her loved ones.  Even during the worst and hardest days of her battle, she cared more about our pain than her own.

She accepted people for who they were - never focusing on their faults and mistakes, and always praising their virtues.  She was beautiful inside and out; had eyes that sparkled with mischievousness; and a smile that was contagious. She faced every challenge and blessing with humbleness, and a sarcastic, quick-witted sense of humour.

Words cannot fully describe how special she was.  The loss we have suffered is unmeasurable; but her legacy of love, the lessons she gave us, and the memories we've shared will be carried in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at The Machine Shop (83 Huron Street, Sault Ste. Marie) from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Please come and join us in remembering an amazing woman, loving matriarch and true friend.

The family would like to thank all the medical staff that was involved with her treatment and care - with a special thanks for her homecare nurses Marnie, Michelle and Jessica, who showed great compassion, kindness and dedication.

We are asking for all memorial donations to go to Tracy’s Dream, a charitable foundation which assists local cancer patients with the cost of parking at the Sault Area Hospital during treatment.  The donations can be made through [email protected] and will be accepted at the Celebration of Life on their behalf.

Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758).
