BARZAN, Dr. Anthony

Posted

Dr. Anthony Peter Barzan Sr. - Our exceptional, kind and truly loved husband, father and brother died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 13 with his family by his side.

Tony will be forever remembered by his wife Louise for the 28 years of laughter they shared together; his sons, Anthony Jr. and Guy, who look up to their father and follow his footsteps in dentistry; his loving and only sister, Ida, along with countless other family, friends and patients who were blessed to know him.

Tony was born in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, son of the late Albino and Olga Barzan.

He attended the University of Toronto and built a life as a dedicated dentist serving the community for 30 years.

A family man, Tony touched the lives of many people through his practice in Sault Ste Marie and his generosity with St. Jerome Parish.

He enjoyed traveling and learning with Louise and sharing his knowledge of dentistry with Anthony Jr. and Guy.

Tony was an enormously kind, generous and gentle man, with a terrific sense of humour, who loved the world and his place in it.

His presence will be sorely missed in our lives.

Our heartfelt and sincere thanks are extended to the staff at the Loretta Rogers Clinical Care Centre - Toronto Western General Hospital, for their compassion and much appreciated support.

Our special thanks to Auntie Carol, Uncle Paul, Uncle Mike, Loris, Debbie, Maria, Gary, Nicholas, Alexis and Christina who were so supportive.

Visitation will be held July 16 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre.

A funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Jerome’s Catholic Church on Saturday, July 17 at 10 a.m.

Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In keeping with Tony’s commitment to charity, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
