It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, Susan, on March 14, 2022, at the age of 68, at Sault Area Hospital. Loving mother of Pam Klooster (Jared), Alecia Campbell (Brad), and Alaina Harten (Marco Pierucci). Cherished Grandma of Emma and Ryan Klooster; Julia, Olivia, and Ben Campbell; and Duncan and Maeve Pierucci. Dear companion of Wayne Yukich. Lovingly missed by her brothers David Frech and Stephen Frech (Jeremy Nadon). Susan was predeceased by her husband Rodger Barr and her parents Gordon and Jean Frech. She will be sadly missed by many friends, especially her “sister” Maureen Elgie.
We would like to convey our sincere appreciation to the staff of the Algoma Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic, especially to Jessica Oldham, for their exceptional care of our mom. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Wayne for allowing mom to be at home and for his unwavering love and compassion that he showed to her.
Susan was immensely proud of her girls and of her grandchildren and all their accomplishments. She found pleasure and comfort in the simple things in life. Susan was an avid and compassionate animal lover, so in her memory we invite you to make a memorial donation to The Humane Society.
As per Susan’s request, cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
