BARICH, Teresa Sophia

January 7, 1961 - April 18, 2006. We are devastated to announce the unexpected death of Teresa on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at the Heart Institute in Ottawa, Ontario. Teresa passed away emotionally supported by Emma Brummelhuis and Teresa's sisters Monica and Phyllis. She was continuously held in the prayers and thoughts of her family, friends, hospital staff and colleagues near and far while at the Heart Institute. Teresa will always be cherished by her partner Emma Brummelhuis, sisters Phyllis (Helmut), Pat (John), Monica (Murray), Rebecca (Dennis), her sister-in-law Shelley and brothers Steve (Anna May) and George. She was proud to be a special aunt to Sean, Peter, Julie, Elizabeth and Cara. She will be missed by her Alberta family - the Brummelhuis clan: Aunt Alice and numerous cousins in Scotland; many aunts, uncles and cousins in Sault Ste. Marie and London, Ontario: colleagues at MDS Nordion: many special friends in Ottawa, across Canada, the USA and many countries abroad. Teresa was predeceased by her parents Peter and Elizabeth and brother Peter. A celebration of Teresa's life and a special tribute by MDS Nordion to acknowledge her 20 years with the company took place in Ottawa on Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
