Passed away from cancer on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Sault Area Hospital Plummer Site at the age of age 83 years. Very loving and devoted wife of 62 years of Jim Banks (Davey Home). Cherished mother of Janet (Frank Kewley), Judy (Michael Connors) and Jamie (Cathy Boisclair). Grandmother of Jillian, Christopher, Emma (Daryl McKinnon), Jason, Lindsay and Craig. Great grandmother of Anastasia and Michaela, all of the Ottawa area. Sister-in-law of Helen and Anne Banks and the late Jack Routledge, all of the Sault. Mom treasured her friends, and once she met you, you were one. Although Mom was an only child, she shared in the joy of sisterhood with Gail (David) Walsh. Longtime friend of Kay, Olive, Pat and many others. Our thanks to Lyla and other dear friends on Boehmer Blvd who supported Mom & Dad through recent years of failing health. Special thanks also to Dr. Michael Hackett, nurse Sandra, CCAC and the Palliative Care Team. To celebrate her life, friends are invited to attend at Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 11 am. Mr. Frank Parsons officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery.
