It is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Jason on Sunday, July 24, 2022, surrounded by his ERT Brothers at the Hospital Laval, Quebec. Beloved husband and best friend to Amber. Loving and devoted father to Grace (her boyfriend Gabe), Gabriel, Gavin, and Nathan. Dear son of John (Idis) Avery and Linda (Eric) Brauner. Cherished grandson to Jean (the late Bernie) Boersma. Jason will be lovingly remembered by his sisters; Kristan Avery (Alejandro), Erica (Craig) Coletti, and Heidi (Alvaro) Scheid. He will be sadly missed by his nieces Aubrey and Emma Coletti.
Jason was born on May 2, 1974 in Stratford, Ontario.
He had a calling to serve & protect, first with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in 2003-2004, and then from 2004-2008 with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. Subsequently he joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) where he has continuously served for the past 14 years, 12 of which within the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
His love and passions are his children and marrying his soulmate Amber in 2019. Spending time with family and his ERT Brothers.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cedarview Community Church, 1000 Gorham Street, Newmarket.
