Rev Austin Pic

December 8, 1934 - October 10, 2021

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Wonderful and loving husband, best friend and companion of Betty for over 65 years. Cherished and devoted father of Deborah Yates (Jim), Glen (Annie) and Randy (Camilla). Loving grandfather of Chelsea (Claude), Rebekah, Rodney, Christina and Kenny, and great grandfather of Maverick, Cole, Timmy and Emerik. Dearly loved and fondly remembered by his sister Ramona Cooper (late Byron) and his nieces and nephews. He joins his parents George and Melina Austin and his siblings Ruth Squires (late Frank), Irene White (late Roy, late Richard), Delores Worthman (late Mark) and Christine Austin (Pat).
The Reverend Clayton Austin was an ordained minister with the United Church of Canada serving many communities throughout his tenure. He and Betty devoted their life to serving others and promoting their well being. In his earlier years he took pleasure in fishing and enjoying the outdoors. In his retirement years he took great solace in writing poetry and sharing it with others. We will forever cherish the stories of his life experiences and his humourous anecdotes…..never to be forgotten.

The family wishes to thank their family and friends for the years of support and friendship.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at St. Andrews United Church in Blind River on Friday, October 15, 2021 beginning at 1pm with the Reverend Lyn Heeley officiating.
