Austin Bruce Ellis

(1944-2012) Passed away suddenly in his 68th year in Kitchener, Ontario. Son of the late George Rupert and Myrtle (Wilson). He will be deeply missed by Dawn (Wood-Salomon), his wife and partner of 49 years.  His children Bruce (Laurie Peplow), Raquel (Jim Beek) and Kristy (Kyle Deep) will remember him for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humour. His grandchildren Stephan, Madieson, Rylee, Ethan, Gavin, Andre (Cassandra) and Derek (Emily) will forever cherish their memories with their beloved Papa. Dearly loved brother to Dorothy McEwen(Rolly), Wilson (late Louise), Ron (friend Diane), late Glen (Tilly), and Dan. Dearly loved son in-law to Eileen and late James Wood-Salomon,brother in-law to Jimmy (Zoey),Angus (Judith), Philip (Theresa), Heather (Linda), Joan (Marc), Yvonne, Sharon (Dean) and many nieces and nephews. Austin lived his life with an adventurous, loving and generous spirit.  He loved his family unconditionally, he was their pillar of strength and guide to a fullfilling life. Austin's generosity in life is only surpassed by his final act of selflessness in giving to the Trillium Gift of Life Network, as such, in lieu of flowers Austin would have appreciated a donation to this wonderful organization for continued hope, life and love. Austin’s family will receive relatives and friends from 1:30 – 2:15 pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.  A celebration of Austin’s life will take place at 2:30 pm in the chapel of the funeral home followed by a reception.  A memorial service will be held in Austin's hometown of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario on Saturday January 14, 2012 from 1-4pm at the Elks Lodge,216 Bay Street.
