Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on April 22, 2024, with his family by his side at the age of 88.
Born January 20, 1936, in Espanola Ontario to the late Thomas and Lillian Aubrey. Reunited with his siblings: Julia, Thomas, Isidore, Adele, Marie, Ernest, Theresa, Margaret, Albert and Alice. George will be lovingly remembered by his many foster siblings, especially Debbie Black.
Cherished uncle of Debbie (Ken), Dave, Darlene (Rob), Linda, Frank (Peggy), Gloria (Jason), Julia, the late Tom Jr., and the late Tim. George will be missed dearly by his cat, Tom Selleck.
George retired after many years worked at Algoma Steel. He enjoyed going to the casino and the very occasional beer.
A tremendous thank you to the staff of the Sault Area Hospital, especially ICU for your care and compassion shown towards George these past few months.
As per George’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no services will be held. Memorial donations made to the Sault Ste.
