It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Glenn at the age of 71 following a brief illness.

Beloved husband of Joanne, cherished father of Graham (Kelly – his favourite daughter-in-law) and Pierce. Fiercely proud Papa to Landen and Westen.

Predeceased by his parents Harry and Ina Atkinson. He will be missed by his close cousins Lance (Linda) Mulvihill, Kevin (Beth) Mulvihill, Dawn (Dave) Hudak. Also, by Jean (Marcel) Deschesnes and Hazel (Paul) McKegney. He will especially be missed by his best friend Lesli.

Brother-in-law to the late Richard (Rachel) Fournier, Andy (Connie) Fournier and Denise (Tom) Douglas.

He will be remembered by many cousins in Scotland and England. He will be missed by the Piraino/Vaudry families and Reynolds families as well as many acquaintances in Montreal whom he met over the years.

Glenn had an unmatched sense of humour and was a master of puns. He made the most of his second chance at life, living to see many important milestones in the lives of his family and friends.

At Glenn’s request, there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Luke’s Cathedral (160 Brock St, SSM) on Monday, December 18th, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Archbishop – The Most Reverend Anne Germond officiating.

A heartfelt thank you to all doctors, nurses, paramedics, PSWs at SAH for their professional and exceptional care for Glenn; especially Dr. Fera, Dr. Meligrana, Dr. Berry, Dr. Buehner and Dr. Booth.
