ARTHURS, Kenneth George - Passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024 peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beloved husband and partner of 26 years to Mardie. Cherished father of Shannon (David) and Adam (Doriana). Much loved grandpa of Dawn, Dino and Charley. Brother of Linda (late Paul), Brenda (Darrin), late Norman and brother-in-law of Calla (Mike) and the late Eric. Uncle of Chris Catling (Linda) and Dylan Catling (Chandra). Great-uncle of Eric Catling (Corri), Nick Turpin (Jenna) and Hunter Catling. Great-great-uncle of Mylah Turpin. Predeceased by his parents George and Nellie Arthurs. He will be greatly missed by many friends, extended family and the cats.

Ken was an avid outdoorsman. He spent some of his best memories fishing, hunting and camping. If you weren't sure where Ken was, you could always find him in his shed 'contemplating life'. Ken was known for his unique sense of humor. Ken and Mardie always told each other that they were all they ever needed. They were inseparable. Ken's working life was spent at the City of Sault Ste. Marie, or as it used to be known, City Board of Works. He took pride in his title as an Operator, and later moved up to be a Lead Hand. You could put him behind the wheel of any piece of equipment (on the job or at play) and he would be a pro within minutes.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt and well-deserved thanks to his home care nurses Amy (comforter Betty) and Jessica, Sault Area Hospital staff Lawson, Amanda, Jennifer and Dr. Booth for all of their care and compassion through his chemotherapy treatments.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 11 am to 12:45 pm. Funeral service to follow at 1 pm. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to the Canadian Red Cross or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Arthurs family.
