2021-12-27 ANDERSON Keith James

December 25, 1955 – December 25, 2021

He came into the world Christmas day, and he left on Christmas day.

It is with a broken heart that I announce the passing of my true love after a brief illness.  Leaving behind to mourn his loss is his loving wife Jackie, his children Julie, Shawn and Ryan (Krisha) who he loved and was very proud of and his adored grandchildren Mackenzie, Micheala, Ella and Axl.  His fur babies Shelby and Rusty who were by his side.  Son of the late Donald and Marjorie Anderson, younger brother of Donna (John), Dianne (Pat) and Judy (Gerry).  Son-in-law of the late Louella McCargar and brother-in-law to Glenn and the late Harold, Keith was a man of few words but he loved deeply.

He had many passions.  He loved his guitar and blue grass music. He golfed, painted cars, did house reno’s, enjoyed his Goldwing and he was a fantastic cook.  He was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan with a framed t-shirt that read, “Just One Before I Die”, on the wall of his man cave.  He was sure this was going to be their year.  Keith worked at Algoma Steel for almost 48 years and was still working up until October until his illness took over.  He loved his job and enjoyed the crew he worked with.  He had a very strong work ethic, which I’m sure was instilled in him by his dad.  His mom would have been so proud of his homemade bread.  Up until covid, we spent many summers and made wonderful memories camping at Pancake.

Waiting for him at the Rainbow Bridge will be his fur babies, April, Maggie and his sweetheart, Annie who stole his heart the day he saw her on the Humane Society website and as Keith would say, “Annie has unlimited credit” (and boy did she need credit).

I would like to thank Dr. Dave Fera, Dr. Reich and Dr. Carlson for their kindness and care during Keith’s journey.  Also, the girls at the radiation bunker and paramedics.  Nicole and Corey from the ER, your care and kindness will never be forgotten. Thank you.

Ryan and Dave, thank you for your visits.  He enjoyed the visits and catching up on the work front.

Donna, my wonderful neighbour, thank you so much for all your help.

And last, but not least, to our son Shawn who has been my rock during these difficult and sad months.

As per Keith’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations to Tracy’s Dream, ARCH, Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Visit  www.osullivanfuneralhome.com  to leave condolences for the family. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home (215 St James Street, Sault Ste. Marie, ON, P6A 1P7, 705-759-8456).

“It’s never goodbye, it’s I’ll see you later.”
