Suddenly at the Sudbury Regional Hospital (Laurentian Site) on Saturday, April 12, 2008 after a courageous battle. Maxwell Alton in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Brenda Alton. Devoted and loving father of David Alton (wife Karen), Brian Alton (wife Peggy) and Neil Alton (fiancé Rosemary). Loving Papa of Sarah (Thomas Flood), Hanah, Ashley, Ryan, Spencer and Dylan. Son of the late Whitney and Mina Alton. Dear brother of Ruth Gilbertson (husband Don) and Lorne Alton (wife Sally). Brother-in-law of Jennifer McMillan (husband Larry). Maxwell will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. He was a long time employee of the Ministry of Natural Resources and will be sadly missed by his colleagues. At the request of Max there will be no funeral service. A 'Celebration Of Life' will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Echo Bay Elks Hall - Church Street. Memorial donations made to the Laurentian Hospital (Sudbury), New Sault Area Hospital Building Fund or Echo Bay Elks/Royal Purple would be appreciated by the family.
