ALLEN, Sydney “Chum”

On Saturday January 29, 2005 at the Plummer Hospital at the age of 70, he lost his valiant battle surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Son of the late Sydney Allen and Frances Eddy and stepson of the late Alfred Eddy. Loving friend and constant companion to his wife Gail. Caring, loving and devoted father to Bob (Janet) and Debbie Robert (Todd). Cherished Papa Syd of Britta, Erik, Haley and Carson. Brother-in-law of Joan and Gub Cupido and the late Don and Lillian Mitchell. Special uncle to many nieces and nephews. Lifelong friend of Bob McDonald. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 11 am from St. Matthews Anglican Church, 1643 Wellington Street East. Rev. Munroe Scott officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the SAH Oncology Unit, St. Matthews Anglican Church or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. He kept his sense of humour, wit, and positive outlook until the end.
