It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Scott. He entered into his Saviour’s presence on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the age of 54. Beloved son of the late Leonard and Irene Allen. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Karen and Roy Laplante. Dear uncle of Joshua (Keera) Laplante and Rachel (Daniel) Calverley. Even though Scott lived many miles away, we all stayed close. He will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Scott leaves behind a close and caring community of friends and colleagues in Accra, Ghana, where he lived and operated a small business for the past 15 years. He cared deeply for all of his employees and friends, as well as the community at large, which included the local street cats which he fed! He graduated from the University of Waterloo in Management Accounting, which laid the foundation for his future businesses. He had a lifelong passion for travel and adventure. He travelled all over the world, which had him working and residing in Toronto (Ontario), London (England), Bermuda, and Accra (Ghana, West Africa). He maintained lifelong treasured friendships and memories from each place.
