On Sunday, July 27, 1969, God gave us a precious gift that we cherished and loved dearly and it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Lura on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the age of 52. Elura passed away after a lengthy illness and we will miss her deeply.
Loving daughter of Harold and Betty Allen. Cherished sister of Stephen (Denise), Becky (Ray) and Jim (Emmalee). Aunt to Josh (Sarvenaz), Amanda (Josh), Kait (Chris), Bryce, Byron, Keira (David), Sophie (Cory), Jackson and Rory. Great Aunt to Logan, Emmett and Claire. Lura was a niece and cousin to many.
Elura will be missed by her many friends and staff from Community Living Algoma especially Leeanne, Gerri, Theresa, Hunter, Tianna, Jasmine, Alisha and Natalie. The family would like to thank all the people who cared for her over the many years including Dr. Pistor and Dr. Kuntz and the amazing staff in the ICU and 3C.
Due to Covid restrictions there will be only a family service at this time. A Celebration of Lura’s Life will take place closer to her birthday in July. Plan your best Elvis, Star Wars, Ghost Busters, Frozen or Grinch impressions.
