Ellen L. Akers of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away suddenly at home on December 22, 2011. She was born May 16, 1946 to Marion Edward and Luella E. (Fauser) Wolfe in Valparaiso Indiana. Ellen enjoyed..... laughter,life,family,friends and her baby dogs.(Penny & Betsy).Ellen is survived by her loving husband Wayne Akers & Children Michelle (Gary) Kindred of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario,Shari Starr of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan,Kevin (Jessica) Akers of Sault Ste Marie Michigan,Diane (Chris)Thompson of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan, Wayne Akers (Jennifer McRorie) of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan also Step mother to Michael & Shannon Akers. Sister Jeanene Keiser of Crown Point Indiana. Special Sister In-law to Joyce (Marion "Manny") Wolfe of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents & brother Marion (Manny) Wolfe. Visitation will be held at Hovie Funeral Home on Tuesday December 27, 2011 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with memorial services beginning at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Josh Jansen officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to P.A.W.S or our local Hospice.
