ADAMS, Sabina Rose (nee Hunt)

July 24, 1928 – May 20, 2017 - Sabina, affectionately known as Nanny Rose, Rose, Rosie, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Extendicare Maple View on Saturday May 20th.  Beloved wife of the late S.D. Adams (Bill). Devoted mother of David (Tiina Manniste) of St. Catharines On., Michael (Susi Andreyko) of Sault Ste. Marie, Stephen (Krista Broos) of Sault Ste. Marie Michigan, Peggy Adams (Steve Huck) of Toronto and Kathy McLeod (Tom McLeod) of Toronto. Much loved Grandmother (Nanny Rose) of BJ (Aja) and Ashleigh Adams (Aaron), Kristina and Caroline Adams, Sarah and Duncan McLeod, William, Joe and Wylie Huck, Clayton Adams, and Great Grandmother of Kayla and Brody Adams. Daughter of John and Sabine Hunt, sister of Jack, Bill and Pat Hunt. Sabina was an active member of the Sault Ste. Marie Community, involved for many years with the Maycourt Club, and Meals on Wheels.   She cherished family time and had an affinity for dogs and loved all animals. Sabina was a singer in her youth and performed at weddings, funerals and at the Belleview Park Bandshell.  Her memorable presence lit up a room and she will be greatly missed by all who have known her. Friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 6 – 8 pm. There will be a private family service held the following day. Sabina will be interred at Greenwood Cemetery beside her beloved husband Bill and her mother Sabine. Donations may be made to the Sault Area Hospital or charity of your choice.
