ADAMS, Craig

Posted

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Craig, on Saturday, December 18, 2010, at the age of 45, with his wife and soul mate, Laura, by his side. Craig was a proud, devoted dad and fishing partner to his children Kaleb and Emma, whom he loved with all his heart. Loving son to Avis Adams and the late Bill, and son-in-law to Tranquilla Laurenti (late Nello). He will be sadly missed by his sisters Pauline Cornelissen (Henry), Christine Liebregts (Felix), and by brother-in-laws Fosco Laurenti (Donna), Dario Laurenti (Theresa) and sister-in-law Rosanne Stewart (Rod). Uncle and great uncle with the witty sense of humour to Laura (Trevor), Julie, Langdon, Cameron, Greg, Daniel, Andrea (James), Sarah (Jason), Ben, Skye, Rachel (Cameron), Matthew, Adam, Rebecca, Ethan, Lauren, and Isabelle, who will miss him dearly. Special nephew and cousin to many both in Canada and in England. In his healthy years, Craig had a passionate zest for the outdoors, as well as cooking and woodworking. "Life is good", he would say. A celebration of Craig's life will take place at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Thursday January 6, 2011 with visitation at 12 noon until time of memorial service in the chapel at 3 p.m. with Rev. Bruce McLeish officiating. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund or (Payable to BMO Nesbitt Burns) In trust to Kaleb and Emma’s Education Fund would be appreciated by the family. Thank you to Princess Margaret Transplant team, the Mount Sinai ICU team, Dr. M. Hackett, Dr. G. Berg, the Bayshore nurses, and especially to his friends at SAH Oncology and the Cancer Clinic. To Dr. S. Spadafora, a special thank you for devoting much of your time this past year to Craig's physical and emotional well being. To Dr. D. Walde, words cannot express our gratitude for your expertise throughout the years, for keeping "the boy" healthy and for your friendship along the way... And finally, to all our family, friends and co-workers who provided support, donations and prayers, we send a heart filled thank you. www.northwoodfuneral.com
