Canadian Maude-Aimee Leblanc falls out of lead at Natural Charity Classic

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — Canada's Maude-Aimee Leblanc has slipped into a tie for seventh heading into the final round of the Symetra Tour's Natural Charity Classic.

The Sherbrooke, Que., golfer, who led by one after the first round, carded an even-par 72 on Saturday and is now four shots off the lead at 7 under.

Kelly Tan of Malaysia leads at 11 under after 36 holes. American Laura Wearn is second at 10 under.

Maddie Szeryk of London, Ont., is at 3 under and Hannah Hellyer of Stirling, Ont., is at even par.

Christina Foster (10 over) of Toronto and Samantha Richdale (6 over) of Kelowna, B.C., missed the cut.

Leblanc is back on the Symetra Tour this year after spending most of the past three seasons on the LPGA Tour. She lost her full status for this year after finishing 116th on the money list in 2018.

The tournament has been kind to Canadians in the recent past, with Sue Kim of Langley, B.C., winning it in 2015 and Richdale taking the title the next year.

The Symetra Tour is the feeder circuit to the LPGA Tour. The top 10 on the money list at season's end earn LPGA cards.
