SooToday received the following message and photo regarding a large donation of canned food for the Salvation Army.

A local Timbits 5 hockey team from the Soo Pee Wee Minor Hockey League helped out the community through Coaches4Food canned food drive.
We have a pretty ambitious team of Timbit 5-year-olds.
They worked really hard and were able to collect 280 lbs of canned food for the Salvation Army.
We weighed everything last night and will be dropping off the donations today at the Salvation Army.
The final weight was 278.6 lbs.
Great cause, great team effort!
