NEWS RELEASE

WACKY WINGS

*************************
On Nov. 11, 2016, Remembrance Day, 15 per cent of proceeds at Wacky’s Great Northern Road and Wacky’s Lake Street in Sault Ste. Marie, ON will be donated to the local Legion’s Poppy Fund.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the Poppy Fund can do so at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 (96 Great Northern Road) or through our taggers throughout the city during the Poppy Campaign. Wacky’s is also accepting donations for the Poppy Fund.

Every year, Legions across the country run a Poppy Campaign to honour those who serve, and to raise funds in support of Veterans and their families. The Poppy was adopted as a symbol of Remembrance in 1921 and wearing the poppy shows our appreciation to those who have given their lives for our freedom.

Funds raised during the Poppy Campaign provide assistance (ex: food, shelter, medical assistance) to ex-servicemen and women in need as well as support local medical facilities and cadets. Join us at either of our Sault Ste. Marie Wacky’s locations on Nov. 11 and proudly help support our veterans.

Visit http://www.legion.ca/honour-remember/the-poppy-campaign/ for more information.

Wacky’s was established in 2007 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario by brothers Craig and Damon Burgess. The business was so successful, expansion into North Bay, Sudbury, and Timmins soon followed. The newest addition, Wacky’s Thunder Bay opens this week!

In addition to over a 100 flavours of chicken wings, the menu also includes made daily, never frozen, Alberta beef burgers, salads, handheld sandwiches, appetizers, signature desserts and of course a large selection of draft beers.
