NEWS RELEASE

PUC

*************************
PUC in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library is inviting customers to participate in a free informational workshop hosted at the Centennial Library.

This workshop will be divided into two parts; the first part will focus on breaking down an average PUC bill and explaining how the charges are set. The second part of the workshop will provide customers with helpful tips and tools to control their energy usage.

“PUC understands the frustration customers have been feeling over the high price of electricity, and we take their concerns very seriously”, says Giordan Zin, PUC Supervisor of Customer Engagement.

“Events like these workshops are an excellent opportunity for us to engage with our customers in a face-to-face setting. Not only will these sessions give residents an opportunity to better understand how the cost of energy is calculated - but also what they can do to control it.”

PUC and the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library encourages anyone who is concerned or interested in learning about the cost of electricity to come and participate in this interactive and informative evening.

The workshop will be held at Centennial Library (50 East Street) Study Area from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, on Tuesday, Apr. 25, 2017. Light refreshments will be available. For more information on this workshop, customers are encouraged to contact the PUC at 705-759-6522.
