The Mill Steakhouse and Wine Bar, in conjunction with the Sault Community Career Centre, will be hosting a job fair to fill positions for the Agawa Train Tour’s dining car and meal services. The job fair will take place on Tuesday, May 16, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be held at The Machine Shop, located at 83 Huron Street.

The Mill Dining Car is looking to fill approximately 25 positions, including: Servers, who will be responsible to sell/handle food and operate the Moneris (experience is mandatory); Prep Cooks, who will be responsible for prepping all food for the train (night shifts only);  Short Order Cooks, who will be responsible for cooking on the train (experience is mandatory); and Manager and Assistant Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations and overall productivity throughout the day, coordinate the staff, handle the daily sales, and run/supervise operations on the train.

“Outgoing personalities and high energy will be the key requirement in the dining car,” said Operations Manager, Joe Iachetta. In addition to outstanding customer service skills, The Mill is particularly looking for individuals with some experience in food, hospitality, and/or tourism sector.

Applicants for available positions must be able to manage a flexible schedule, especially cooks, who will be asked to prepare meals for train passengers on night shifts.
