The Giving Tree program gives winter clothing to those in need

Sault Ste. Marie Public Library's Giving Tree program has launched for this winter.

From Nov. 23 to Dec. 31, winter wear, like gloves, hats and other accessories will be free for anyone who needs them at both library locations.

Community members are encouraged to donate gently used winter clothing.

This winter, the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library wants to help everyone stay warm through our Giving Tree program.

From Nov. 23 to Dec. 31, 2021, winter items such as gloves, hats, scarves, and other accessories will be free for anyone who needs them at both the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library and the North Branch.

Take what you need, no questions asked, while supplies last.

The community is welcome to donate new or gently used winter accessories for the tree by dropping their donated items off at either library location.

Items that have not been taken by Dec. 31, 2021 will be donated to community shelters and local organizations.
