The 2017 Sustain Algoma Expo is taking place this Saturday, June 3, at the Johnson Township Community Centre in Desbarats from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Admission to this event is free, but donations will be accepted.

This family fun event promotes living sustainably in Algoma. The event will feature unique initiatives and products that include food & agriculture, wood products, water management, social enterprise, arts & culture and more from over 25 exhibitors.

In addition to booths set up by companies and organizations, there will be a breakfast buffet from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with proceeds going towards the Johnson Township Recreation. Children will have the opportunity to have their face painted and Entomica will have their exotic bugs on display.

The first Johnson Farmers’ Market of the year is taking place on site as well. Come get some local fruits, veggies and other food products!

The expo is put on by the Kensington Conservancy, STUFFF Lubricants, St. Mary’s River Remedial Action Plan, Clean North and Johnson Farmers’ Market.
