NEWS RELEASE

SAULT STE MARIE PUBLIC LIBRARY

*************************
Have you signed your kids up yet? The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library encourages children ages three years and older to register for the Summer Reading Club. Reading throughout the summer helps children keep up the skills they’ve developed over the school year.

This year’s Summer Reading Club theme is Celebrate Canada! Each child will receive an activity booklet upon registration and will be invited to a musical wrap up party presented by local children’s band Tic Tac Toc.

Members of the reading club will also have the opportunity to participate in the library’s Busy Beavers programs each week throughout the summer.

The Busy Beavers summer programs are held at the Centennial Library Tuesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 pm from July 11 to Aug. 15, and at the Korah Branch Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 pm from July 12 to Aug. 16.

Both programs are for children ages 4 to 7 years. French programs will be held July 20 and Aug. 17 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at the Centennial Library. Each program must be registered for individually. The Summer Reading Club runs until Aug. 24, 2017.
