As in past years, students, staff and families of École Notre-Dame-du-Sault (Sault Ste. Marie) demonstrated their generosity and solidarity through their participation in a Christmas community sharing campaign aimed at supporting families in need living in Sault Ste. Marie.

Elementary and secondary school students invested a great deal of passion in filling a canoe with non-perishable food items and toys as part of the “Noël Portage” school project.

As part of this initiative, which was first launched some 15 years ago, no less than 30 boxes of food items and toys were collected and placed in the canoe this year. Last week, this harvest was donated to "Christmas Cheer" following a portage from the school cafetorium to the organization's truck.

This beautiful act of generosity and mutual aid during this Advent season has become a very meaningful tradition for Notre-Dame-du-Sault students and staff that lives on!
