Runners wanted for Jingle Bell Run/Walk

Jade Wellness today announces its 4th annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk is kicking off on Saturday, Nov. 19 this year. The registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at Jade Wellness and the event starts at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Art Gallery.

The 5 K route goes along the hub trail and back with light refreshments, water stations and choir to keep the runners nourished and entertained.

“This run started out as the finale for our running clinic and now it has turned into a well-attended community event” Says Angela Sauve, Pilates director and running coach at Jade Wellness. “Now the Jingle Bell Run has become an annual celebration for the runners. They come out, run with fun holiday outfits or bells on, then mingle with other runners.”

The registration fee is by donation with the recommended amount of $5. All the proceeds go to a local charity “Girls Run Strong” which empowers young girls to be themselves, gain self-confidence and adopt healthy lifestyle habits.

“The Mistletoe Mile” is the new feature this year designed for the whole family. “Families with young ones can participate in our event now.” Says Angela. “As our tradition, the runners are welcome to enjoy some warm beverages, refreshments and prizes at Jade Wellness after the run.”
