PUC employee association supports ARCH

The PUC Employee’s Association held their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament at Crimson Ridge Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 23. The Association is pleased to announce that this year’s tournament raised $4,451, more than double the amount from last year’s tournament.

“The PUC Employee Association is entirely organized and operated by employees, and their work with ARCH is a perfect example of the values we hold dear; as employees, and as an organization,” says Dominic Parrella, PUC President, and CEO. “I’d like to congratulate the association on another successful event, and mention how proud I am to work alongside such community-minded individuals”.

On Oct. 17, members of the Employee Association presented ARCH Hospice with a cheque in memory of Debra MacIntyre, a recently retired PUC employee who sadly passed earlier this year at ARCH. “We started this tournament in 2015, as a way for PUC employees to give back to the community as a group,” says, Cindy Pruce, PUC Employee Association Chair.

“We all have a family member, loved one, or know someone who has benefited from ARCH being in our community, and with the recent loss of our friend and co-worker, this couldn’t hit closer to home”.

“We at ARCH are so impressed by the generosity shown by the PUC Employees Association. For the third straight year, they have kindly donated the proceeds from their annual golf tournament to Hospice. This year’s tournament was even more meaningful for those who participated as it was held in memory of one of their own, Debra MacIntyre, who passed away earlier this year,” says, Katherine Williamson, ARCH Event Coordinator.

“Having known Deb, it meant a lot to me to be involved in such a fun and memorable day. It was heartwarming to see her coworkers, friends, and family celebrate her memory and make some new ones together on the course. We can’t say thank you enough to the PUC Employees Association - for all they have done, and continue to do, to help Hospice,” says, Williamson.
