Pies, parade and prizes (33 photos)

Richards Landing Community Night drew countless visitors together from across St. Joseph Island

Whether your passion is a slice of homemade pie, perhaps a game of chance or to meet up with friends or neighbours, a community parade is enjoyed by many.

Richards Landing Community Night drew countless visitors together from across St. Joseph Island and the surrounding area yesterday, including many seasonal residents to the St. Joseph Township Centennial Grounds.

Various food booths were open to tempt one's palate.

Many remarked over the welcoming seasonal weather and pleasant evening temperature.

Some considered the length of the parade a bit shorter than past years but was still enjoyed by all.

Proceeds went to the North Shore Health Network Auxiliary Richards Landing Matthews Site.

Hilton Beach hosts its Community Night Aug. 5 with proceeds going to the Hilton Beach Recreation Programs.
