Paw'n Pet Food, Sault Ste. Marie, On, recently demonstrated that serving the Sault Ste. Marie community means more than offering premier food and pet supplies. It also means supporting those who provide community services to those cats in need.

The pet store read the call out from The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG) looking for donations of clumping litter, canned cat food, dry cat food, flea medications, or kitten food. Through this request, Paw’n Pet Food was able to secure and donate $750 worth of canned cat food and litter.

“We recognized that TAAG has been serving our community for almost 30 years with these valuable services of spaying, neutering and adopting stray or abandoned cats. It is imperative that local organizations support each other in these challenging times”, says Cheryle manager of the Paw’n Pet Food.

The pet store has also been transitioning its products online so that it can help pet owners minimize social interactions and stay in self-isolation while taking care of their pets. The e-commerce site allows for curbside pickup at 628 Second Line West or local delivery.

TAAG is still accepting financial donations online as other forms of fundraising are currently on hold due to COVID-19
