*************************
The first annual Heart and Stroke Youth Soccer-Golf Tournament is taking place on Friday, Sept. 30 at Maplewood Golf Course from 1 p.m., until 4 p.m. Registration is $15 per individual, which includes Green Fees and a free soccer ball!

If your child is between the ages of 7 and 13, ensure that their P.A. Day is filled with heart-healthy fun by participating in the unique game of soccer-golf.

During the tournament, kids will kick the soccer ball across the golf course, counting the number of kicks at each hole and applying the rules of golf along the way. Children will enjoy an active afternoon outdoors while joining us in raising funds for life-saving heart disease and stroke research.

Registrants will play nine holes of soccer-golf in teams of four, with each player asked to raise a minimum of $25 in pledges. Prizes will be awarded for top fundraisers and awards provided for the top two teams.

Registration and pledge forms may be picked up at the Heart and Stroke Foundation office at 59 Great Northern Road or at Maplewood Golf Course at 47 Wigle Street.

For more information, or to make a donation, please contact Dan Ingram, Heart and Stroke Area Manager, at [email protected] or 705-253-3775.
