OK Tire surpasses last year's fundraising goal

The Buck-a-Tire campaign returned this year and OK Tire was excited to help another local and worthy cause.

This winter season, OK Tire was able to donate $2,017 to the Thrive Child and Development Centre Foundation. The foundation plays a key stewardship role in supporting the centre’s space, equipment and special program needs. The centre helps children and youth with diverse abilities to achieve their highest potential.

“This is our most successful year to date,” says Frank Bitonti, manager of OK Tire. “We are so grateful of our customers who helped us surpass last years goal and help give to another amazing organization.”

OK Tire presented the cheque to Robert Paciocco, president; and Susan Vanagas-Coté, vice president of the foundation who wrote: “Thrive is so grateful to OK Tire for making us their charity of choice this year. We have a great community-minded business doing great things for kids who need a little extra support to achieve their personal extraordinary. OK Tire is also pretty extraordinary in our books too!”

“We knew right away when we reached out to social media that Thrive was our recipient for this year's Buck-a-Tire campaign,” says Michael Bitonti, manager at OK Tire. “Our feeds lit up and we could not be happier on giving to this amazing organization.”

OK Tire’s Buck-a-Tire campaign has raised over $10,000 over the last few years for many amazing organizations across Sault Ste. Marie.
