Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Municipality of Huron Shores in the District of Algoma that whereas more candidates have been nominated to each of the following offices than the number required to fill such offices, polls will be held upon the dates and at the times and places stated in this notice for the purpose of electing the following:

MAYOR          One (1) to be elected at large

COUNCILLOR – Ward 3          Two (2) to be elected

ENGLISH PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD TRUSTEE
(Algoma District School Board) - Ward 1         One (1) to be elected

ADVANCE VOTING DAY:
Date & Time:      Saturday, October 18, 2014, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Locations: 
Ward 1        Thessalon Township Community Centre, 4 Little Rapids Road, Little Rapids

Ward 2        Sowerby Hall, 1410 Basswood Lake Rd., Sowerby
Wards 3 & 4    Huron Shores Municipal Council Chambers, 7 Bridge St., Iron Bridge

Date & Time:      Monday, October 27, 2014, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

PROOF OF IDENTITY AND RESIDENCE:
A person voting must present prescribed proof of identity and residence or complete an application in the prescribed form, including a statutory declaration that he or she is the elector shown on the voters’ list.

PROXY APPLICATIONS:
A person who has been appointed a voting proxy may apply to the Clerk during normal office hours or during the period from 12 noon to 5 p.m. on the day of the advance vote, to receive a certificate to vote by proxy for the polling subdivision in which the person appointing the voting proxy is entitled to vote. 

Proxy applications are available at the Municipal Office and online at www.mah.gov.on.ca/Asset1436.aspx.
