Local credit union earns 3 national marketing awards

Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU) and Community First, A Division of Your Neighbourhood Credit Union were recognized with 3 national marketing awards during the annual Marketing Association for Credit Unions’ (MACU) Strategic Marketing Conference in Halifax on Monday, May 8. 

The YNCU/Community First Marketing Team received awards for Coordinated Campaigns, Digital Marketing, and Financial Education. The awards submissions were completed for the 2016 calendar year, the year the two credit unions amalgamated. 

“We are thrilled for the success of our marketing team at the AIME Awards Gala,” says Kerry Hadad, Chief Executive Officer of Your Neighbourhood Credit Union. “2016 was such a monumental year for our credit union because of the merger. I could not be more proud of our team for accomplishing so much outside of the demands of the amalgamation, and for receiving accolades at the national level.”

YNCU and Community First amalgamated on April 1, 2016, and celebrated their 3 wins together as one team. Attracting entries from credit unions across Canada, the AIME Awards recognize the best and brightest achievements in credit union marketing, advertising and communications. 2017 has been an exciting year for Community First, as they have already received the Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year and Marketing Awards, as well as the Ontario Credit Union Foundation’s Outstanding Corporate Achievement Award.
