A local car dealership plans to help those in need this month.

For every vehicle sold in the month of October, Northside Toyota will donate $50 to the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen.

“The Sault Ste. Marie soup kitchen has been a lifeline for the community’s most vulnerable for years. Its doors are open to anyone in need, providing hot meals, companionship, and essential services to those experiencing homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity,” the dealership said in a news release. “However, the ongoing food shortages have stretched the soup kitchen’s resources thin.”

“While $50 from each vehicle purchase may seem like a small contribution, when multiplied by the number of cars sold during October, it can have an immense impact on the soup kitchen’s ability to provide nourishing meals to those who depend on it.”

Northside Toyota’s ultimate goal is to write a cheque to the Soup Kitchen for $5,000.
