NEWS RELEASE
SAULT STE. MARIE LIONS CLUB
*********************************
During the holiday season, the Sault Ste. Marie Lions Club was grateful for the opportunity to give back to many well-deserving organizations in Sault Ste. Marie that serve our community and area.

A total of $9,000 was presented to Christmas Cheer, the Salvation Army, Soup Kitchen Community Centre, and St. Vincent Place.

“It has been a very challenging year due to COVID-19 and our club wanted to help individuals and families during this season of giving,” said Lions president Jim Russell.

Many of our Lions Club members also volunteered to assist the Salvation Army this month with fundraising during their kettle bell drive.

The club is always seeking civic-minded men and women to join them in making a difference in the community. Our club gives members an opportunity to advance worthy causes, serve with friends, and become leaders in the community.

If anyone is interested in joining please contact the Membership Committee Chair at [email protected] and he can provide you with further information.
