Sault Ste. Marie couple, Spencer and Erica Hogan from Hogan’s Homestead have become finalists in the Northern Ontario (Special Edition) “Spark” Competition.

Spencer and Erica Hogan are the owners of Hogan’s Homestead, the third largest maple producer in Algoma based in Goulais River, Ont. with a 30,000 Tap Operation. Their products can be purchased at multiple retailers around Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area.

They have been selected to become a finalist to “pitch” their idea to bring tourism to not only the community but to their new Sugar Bush, located at 1157 Thielman Road, Goulais River, Ont.

They will pitch off on Thursday, April 22, 2021 virtually where they will have three minutes to pitch their new tourism idea to the judge panel made up of tourism partners and entrepreneurs and there will be six minutes of judges questions.

Only one winner of each Northern Ontario Subregion will be selected and have a chance to win not only funds to start their pitch idea but in-kind prizes as well.
