It is easy for teenagers to forget that they are made for more than the status quo of life claims popular Catholic Speaker Ken Yasinski, who will be visiting Sault Ste. Marie.

Yasinski, a Saskatchewan native, will lead a faith-filled Catholic Youth Conference for high school students at St. Mary’s College on February 24. The event, Made for More, hopes to inspire teens to live up to their fullest potential, relying on the gifts given to them by God.

This event is presented by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie together with the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board and is open to all high school students. Students can expect a full day of uplifting talks and reflections, live music, social time, games and activities.

With over 15 years of experience, Yasinski has quickly become one of Canada’s most sought after Catholic speakers. Through clever examples and insightful stories, Ken empowers teens to experience the fullness of life that God created them for.

“Made for More” takes place Feb. 24 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. at St. Mary’s College. High school students can register online. Registration fee is only $20 which includes all meals and materials. More information is available by calling St. Jerome’s Church at 705-949-1072.
