Get blasted with colour on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 9:30 a.m. As part of Algoma University’s annual Homecoming celebrations, the University will be hosting the 4th Annual Algoma U Colour Dash in support of the Algoma Residential Community Hospice (ARCH) and Algoma Thunderbirds Varsity Student-Athletic Awards.

Students, alumni, and the general public can get blasted with coloured dye in the annual spirited fun-run. The 2.5- or 5-kilometre event around campus allows community members to get out, get active, and have fun, all while helping build a stronger community for everyone to enjoy.

Runners of all skill levels are invited to participate. Remember, the goal is to have fun with family and friends. Last year, over 200 community members participated.

Registration for Algoma University and Algoma district students of all ages is $15. Adults pay $20.

Participants are strongly encouraged to register online in advance at www.algomau.ca/colour-dash. Souvenir t-shirts will be available to the first 200 adults and the first 50 children registered.

Participants can also register by raising a minimum of $50 in pledges. Pledge forms can be found online. High school and college students who raise money in pledges will be entered into a draw to win $1,000 scholarship to Algoma U.

Students must enrol by September 2020 and be studying full-time to take advantage of the scholarship.

Dash Day packages for those who have pre-registered will be available for pick-up at the Station Mall (293 Bay Street) outside of The Shoes Fits on Friday, Oct. 14 between 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Participants can also register between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on the day of the event.

For more information about the Algoma U Colour Dash, please contact Bev Teller, CFRE, at [email protected] or call 705.949.2301, Ext. 4125.
